Circuit Schematic Touch ON and OFF Switch using 555 IC

Eltronicschool. - This is one of 555 IC application to build touch on and off switch in this time. So, in here you will show the circuit schematic of Touch ON and OFF Switch using 555 IC as the main component.

Beside we will give you the circuit schematic and component part of this Touch ON and OFF Switch using 555 IC, we also will give you the description of this circuit and the last we will give you the link to read more the circuit.

Circuit Schematic

Component Part
  1. 1 x 555 Timer IC
  2. 1 x 3.3 MΩ Resistor (1/4 Watt)
  3. 1 x 1 MΩ Resistor (1/4 Watt)
  4. 1 x Bulb with holder (regular or CFL)
  5. 1 x 5V Relay Module (if relay module is not available, then you need the following components)
  6. 1 x 5V Relay
  7. 1 x 2N2222 NPN Transistor
  8. 1 x 1N4007 PN Junction Diode
  9. 1 x 1 KΩ Resistor (1/4 Watt)
Description

Circuit schematic like in Figure 1 above is Touch ON and OFF Switch using 555 IC. Accordingly Electronichub site describe that the design of the Touch ON and OFF Switch circuit is very simple. First, the GND, VCC and RST pins of the 555 i.e. pins 1, 8 and 4 are connected to GND and 5V respectively. Pin 2 is pulled HIGH using a 3.3 MΩ Resistor and Pin 6 is pulled LOW using a 1 MΩ Resistor.

Two touch plates are connected to pins 2 and 6 as shown in the circuit diagram. In case of the touch to ON plate, one end is connected to pin 2 and other end is connected to GND. Similarly, one end of the touch to OFF plate is connected to +5V and the other end is connected to Pin 6.

The main principle behind the project lies in the basic functionality of the pins of 555 Timer. We know that 555 Timer has 8 pins namely GND (1), Trigger (2), Output (3), Reset (4), Control Voltage (5), Threshold (6), Discharge (7) and VCC (8).

In this, Pins 2 and 6 are used in this project. Now, we see the basic working of these pins. When Pin 6 i.e. the Threshold pin is held LOW, and if Pin 2 i.e. the Trigger Pin is made LOW, the output of the 555 Timer IC will be HIGH and it stays there. This condition can be used to turn ON the appliance.

Now consider Pin 2 is pulled HIGH and if Pin 6 is made HIGH, the output of the 555 Timer IC will be LOW and it stays there. This condition can be used in our project to turn OFF the load or device. And read more HERE.

  5. Resistor
  6. Diodes
  7. Transistors
Description

Circuit schematic like in Figure 1 above is PIR Triggered Message Player using CD4017 and NE555 IC. According Electronic Circuit Projects site describe that a casual observation makes us feel that the circuit is without any flaws, and practically too it seems to be working fine, however the design has much room for improvements and for making it technically more sound.

The design could be improved as discussed in the following points:

1) The IC 555 monostable stages are actually inappropriately configured with the IC 4017 stages, here the monostables are powered from the pinouts of the IC 4017 which doesn't technically too correct. An IC 555 based monostables must be powered directly from the supply rails, and triggered via its pin#2.e. Read more here

Circuit schematic

Component Parts
  1. IC1 = 555
  2. IC2 = LM350T
  3. Q1 = 2N2222
  4. Resistors
  5. Capacitors
  6. Variable Resistor
Description

Circuit schematic like in Figure 1 above is Circuit Schematic High Power Pulse Generator using LM350T and NE555. According Eleccircuit site that published this circuit describe thatThis is a high power pulse generator circuit, Which have main components are IC555 as oscillator and LM350T provided high current up to 3A max.

When you see in Simple Pulse Generator May will has a question or like to want the high current output. Which normall current of 200mA maximum only. Today we will tell to you, can increate current output up to 3A.

In first time, we think to use the power transistor-2N3055 (popular part in all time) to add up. But we can use other way use IC-LM350T which is DC regulator 3A IC.

In the figure below we still to use the NE555 as the integrated circuit to generat out to a Square wave Oscillator. Which we can adjust the frequency output with rotate a VR1-100K. Then a signal is send to output pin go to the predrive transistor-2N2222 to control give adj pin of IC LM350T works. While there voltage come to output is the character as high power pulse that current tall about 3A.

So friends changes value of R5 for control the level voltage output in minimum 1.25V to high voltage at around 15V, because of this circuit uses input (voltage of power supply about 5V – 15V). See more about this article completely using link here.

In here we will give you specific circuit schematic using 555 IC for Schmitt Trigger /Logic Inverter like in Figure 1 below. (You also can read: Circuit Schematic 12V LDO Solar Charge Controller using MOSFET)

Circuit schematic

Component Parts
  1. NE555 IC
  2. Resistors
Description

Circuit schematic like in Figure 1 above is Circuit Schematic Versatile 555 Schmitt Trigger /Logic Inverter. According Electroschematics site describe that More undocumented applications for the 555 ‘oscillator:’ Not all applications oscillate as we will see. Most are knowledgeable about common CMOS logic inverters and Schmitt triggers such as the 74HC04 and 74HC14 respectively that come six in a DIP-14 package. Often, some sections are left over and can be used for future enhancements, etc. However, what do you do when only one additional inverter or increased output drive or signal level translation is required? This is where the ubiquitous 555 once again comes to the rescue.

Description

Circuit schematic like in figure 1 above is Circuit Schematic Mini Selfie Light based on LM555 ICHere is the circuit of a “Selfie Light” for capturing beautiful selfies on your smartphone/tablet. The idea is an aftereffect of my frustration when I found that the front facing camera of my tablet would produce slightly blurred and underexposed photographs; it wasn’t up to the task of taking well-lit selfies in dark environments. This USB-powered portable LED-based light can be used with any smart phone/tablet offers a USB On- The- Go (USB OTG) feature. The amount of light emitted can be controlled, so there is no worrying that the light output will ever wash out the object’s face. Further, its overall dimensions can be reduced by employing chip (leadless) components in lieu of the traditional (leaded) components.

Description

Circuit schematic like in figure 1 above is Circuit Schematic DC Motor Controller Using LM555 IC. NE555 IC in this circuit will produce PWM that wired as an astable multivibrator whose duty cycle can be adjusted by varying the POT R1. The PWM signal will drive the motor that the PWM come from pin 3 NE555 that coupled with transistor Q1 BD139. Higher the duty cycle the average voltage across motor will be high which results in higher motor speed and vice versa. Change of DC motor direction is attained using the DPDT switch S1 which on application just toggles the polarity applied to the motor.
